COVID-19: Nigeria’s numbers climb to 51
The NCDC has confirmed that Nigeria’s coronavirus cases are in deed spreading. This announcement was made after almost 10 hours of silence about any new cases.
The new statement was tweeted by Wednesday, midnight. It read:
Nigeria Centre for Disease Control has confirmed that cases of coronavirus in the country have increased to 51.
“Five new cases of #COVID19 have been confirmed in Nigeria: 2 in FCT, 2 in Lagos & 1 in Rivers,”
“3 are returning travelers into Nigeria & 2 are close contacts of a confirmed case.”

- Ogun- 3
- Ekiti- 1
- Oyo- 1
- Edo- 1
However, in reaction to the alarming speed, Lagosians have taken to the markets to embark on panic buying and cash withdrawals.
